World’s Most Expensive Taco cost $25,000 in Los Cabos, Mexico

World's Most Expensive Taco - At the Grand Velas Los Cabos Resort in Mexico

Outrageously Expensive Taco In Los Cabos

Mexico is a place where you find some of the best food in the world. The Mexican chef, Juan Licerio Alcala, have now started serving up the world’s most expensive taco at the Grand Velas Los Cabos luxury resort. This luxury resort in Los Cabos is no budget hotel itself and now they have seriously upped the luxury for those who have that kind of “fuck you money”.

There are a few special requirements you need to meet in order to purchase one of these over the top priced tacos. You are required to stay in the Presidential Suite at the Grand Velas Los Cabos Resort plus you need to put down a deposit of $12,500. Order a round for the family if you feel the urge to splurge on luxury. And why not top it off with the world’s most expensive tequila, a bottle of Pasión Azteca Ultra Premium Añ tequila that will set you back no less than $150,000 per bottle.

Rumor has it that no one has shelled out the rather high price yet, but I’m guessing it’s a matter of time considering all the publicity for the world’s most expensive taco.

If you want to make this at home for your friends then check out the ingredients you need.

  • Corn tortillas infused with gold flakes
  • Langoustine
  • Kobe beef
  • Beluga caviar
  • Black truffle brie cheese
  • Salsa made from Morita chile, civet coffee, and Ley .925 tequila

Chances are that this video has peaked your interest of Mexico. We have a photo article of the most amazing places in Mexico – it’s well worth checking out.

I’m not sure about you guys, but I will settle for an order of tacos al pastor and a soda at the local taco place. What do you think about this taco? Would you buy one if you had the money? Let us know in the comments below.
